Sales Policy

Before reserving or buying a bunny, please do some research on bunnies & different breeds to make sure a Holland Lop is the right animal for you. We are happy to help & answer any questions. It is important to have some knowledge about bunnies and have the necessary supplies ready before purchasing one!

Also, please read over our entire sales policy. We do reserve the right to refuse sale or hold back a bunny from sale (in such a case, any deposit made will be fully refunded).

*Each of our bunnies leave the rabbitry with:

Receipt

Pedigree (where available),

Identification Tattoo (left ear),

Information Packet, and

A Small Bag of Transition Food Pellets. 

Pricing

Bunnies are priced individually and can vary based on a number of factors including type, color, sex, pedigree, etc.

Reserving a Specific Bunny

* Bunnies are available for viewing by apt. only & only on or after the date which they are ready to go (see info under each bunny - this is the earliest date a that bunny will be re-homed).

If you would like us to provide additional photos/videos and information on an available bunny prior to placing one on hold, please send us a request - after we have received some info about what you are looking for, purpose of purchase (pet/breed/show), experience with bunnies, etc. We want to ensure bunnies are being placed in good home & buyers are getting animals that are a good fit for what they are looking for.

To reserve or purchase a bunny, please contact us with:

  1. your request/selection. (Before contacting us, please discuss with and ensure you have approval to purchase from family members/roommates/landlord/etc.)

  2. Please do not send a deposit until we have confirmed availability and approval.

  3. Information about yourself.​Specifically:

  • your full name,

  • contact info. - ph. #, mailing address, email (used for pedigree/paperwork)

  • your experience with bunnies,

  • reason for purchase: pet/show/breeding 

  • confirmation of agreed pick-up date/time â€‹

We use this information not only to complete paperwork and records on bunnies sold, but also to ensure our bunnies are going to good homes and that buyers will be happy with their purchase.

If the bunny you select is available and your request is approved, a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit by e-transfer will then be required to place a bunny on hold for pick up on their rehoming day or alternate day & time agreed to. We will not hold a bunny without deposit.  Please note: it is the buyer's responsibility to arrange transport for pick-up day (if required) prior to making a deposit on a bunny. Receipts will be provided

Deposits may not be transferred to a different bunny (should you change you mind) unless pricing for the other bunny is the same & it is still available. 


The balance is due:

in cash at pick-up

OR

by e-transfer  (this payment only prior to pick-up please)

AND by the arranged time of pick-up or delivery.

Bunnies must be picked up or delivery accepted on the date/time that was arranged. Failure to pick up or receive (ie. buyer not home at time of delivery) on the pre-arranged date, will result in the buyer forfeiting their deposit and the bunny will become available to other buyers.

We reserve the right to refuse a sale. If we should need to terminate the sale from our end for any reason, a full refund of the deposit will be given.

Re-homing Day

Please see the info under each available bunny for the date on which it will be ready to leave our rabbitry. If "TBA" is displayed, we have not yet decided on a ready date.

Under no circumstance will bunnies be available before this date and before we are confident that they are thriving on their own & ready to leave our care (usually between the ages of 6.5 weeks - 8 weeks, depending on the individual bunny). If you'd like more information about our weaning process, please let us know.

Before re-homing day, please ensure you have everything you require to bring your new bunny home.

Bunnies will leave our rabbitry in a small covered box with receipt, a pack of transition food, basic care instructions, and pedigree (if available).

If you will be transporting your bunny over a long distance (especially in warmer weather), we recommend bringing a carrier or cage with a water bottle attached for pick up. Bunnies can easily overheat & should not be left in a warm vehicle.

* OPTIONS ON RE-HOMING DAY:

PICK UP:

You can arrange a date/time for pick-up at our location just east of Red Deer, AB.

  1. When you reserve your bunny, we will provide you with an address, map pin, & cell number and set a day & time for pick up. When are 5-10 min from arrival, please call/text the number you were given so that we can have our security gate open for you and have your bunny all ready to go. 

  2. You can pay any balance owing in cash or send us an e-transfer prior to pick up.

  3. Your bunny will be brought out to you in a small covered box with all included paperwork (receipt, pedigree, information packet), small bag of transition food pellets, and any other items that were ordered & paid for.​ At that time we will verify with you the bunny's sex, that ear tattoo matches pedigree, and answer any other questions you may have. Note: If you have someone picking up on your behalf, please let us know if you'd like us to go over these things with them or over a video call with you.

DELIVERY:​​

We do offer a curb-side delivery option - subject to location and delivery date/time. Presently, we do not ship.

  1. Any balance owing must be received via e-transfer by the delivery date and before we leave here to deliver a bunny (or bunnies). 

  2. When we arrive at your location, we will call/text you at the number you provide us with. You or someone from your household must be available to receive delivery. We will not leave a bunny unattended at your doorstep or with a minor.

  3. Again, your bunny will come to you in a small covered box with all included paperwork (receipt, pedigree, information packet), small bag of transition food pellets, and any other items that were ordered & paid for.​ And at that time we will verify with you the bunny's sex, that ear tattoo matches pedigree, and answer any other questions you may have.

It is the buyer's responsibility to educate themselves about the general care of a Holland Lop before deposit and/or purchase. A bunny (or any animal for that matter) should not be purchased on a whim. Please be breed specific with your research (there are many different bunny breeds that have different requirements for their care).

Some basic information on caring for your bunny can be found on our website (under "Care of Your Bunny"). We will continue to develop that page to become more comprehensive as we have time.

*NOTE: There is a $20 fee to replace lost pedigrees.

Guarantees

Bunnies leaving our rabbitry will be healthy, thriving on their own, & leave only when we feel they are ready for their new home. Because there are so many factors that can affect a bunny's health, once a bunny leaves our care, we can not guarantee it's health. However, should you have questions or concerns, please contact us.  
We don't begin sexing our bunnies until they are over 3 weeks (usually closer to 5 weeks). We have a great track record of accuracy, however, we do not offer any guarantees. 
For those wishing to purchase a bunny for the purpose of showing, while our goal is to breed to show standard, it is not possible to guarantee a bunny's potential - especially those leaving at a young age (where they still are growing & developing).
